Nashville and Shaken Baby Syndrome

I was going to post yesterday. I even got as far as opening whatever this place is called where you type, but then I decided I was just too sick and tired to focus on writing anything. Luckily, today I'm feeling much better (although definitely not completely).

There was a meeting at school today for anyone who qualified for the trip to Nashville. My school has a trip every year for kids who meet certain requirements. I could have gone last year because I was student of the month, but I didn't for two reasons. The first reason was that I didn't even know I had qualified for it until it was too late. Second, I didn't care anyway because they went to a baseball game. I'm not a baseball fan. This year I qualify because I have perfect attendance (it's only the second time in my life that's ever happened). We're going to Nashville this year. We're supposed to go to the Country Music Hall of Fame, go on a tour of historic downtown, and eat lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. If I go I have to be at school by 6:30 in the morning. I'm not sure if I'm going to go or not.

Speaking of meetings I attended this morning, I also had a Key Club meeting this morning. Nothing exciting really happened. We did nominate people for officers next year.

We've watched two videos about Shaken Baby Syndrome over the past two days in child development. One was called Elijah's Story and one was called Mighty Like a Rose. They were both incredibly sad! Never ever shake a baby! Those stories were horrible! We learned that a baby would have to fall off of a 13-story building to get the same amount of injuries they would get from being shaken, and it only takes a few seconds. It's horrible!

I got my test from the other day back in Spanish. I got an F. I don't know what to do about this class! I study, but I can never do it when it comes to taking tests!

This post has to have the most random title ever. Not random I guess, but strange nonetheless. A strange combination for a title.

I Hate Drawing

I was planning on doing a longer post today, but I forgot that I need to do fiv drawings for art. I'm going to make this short, so I can finish the two drawings I still have to do. I have no clue what I'm going to draw.

We took a test in Spanish today. I feel better about this one then I have others in the past, so we'll see how I did on it.

I watched episode 41 of Naruto today. It wasn't awesome like the other episodes have been lately, but I really liked it. I love Sakura and Ino's relationship. I don't really like how they fight over Sasuke though...

I also read chapter four of Titian by Mark Hudson. I enjoyed it.

Dear John Movie

For some reason I just completely forgot to blog the past few days. I haven't been in that great of a mood, so that's probably why.

My sister and I went to see Dear John today. I loved it! They really only changed about two major things from the book, but it was still an awesome movie. One of the changes I think I actually like better than the movie.

I thought the cast was awesome! Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried were amazing as John and Savannah! I also thought that the actors who played Tim and John's dad were really good. I don't think the movie could have had any better cast.

If you haven't seen it, you really should, but read the book first!

I also really want to go see valentine's Day and The Young Victoria. Who knows is I ever will.

I watched episode 40 of Naruto the other day. Amazing! The whole thing with the bugs was interesting, but a little creepy, and I loved everything with Kakashi and Orochimaru!

Baby Simulator

I had to take care of the baby simulator last night. I'm so glad that's over! It only woke me up once during the night, but it was enough to make me incredibly tired today. It also cried twice while I was in the shower, and once while I was getting dressed. That was a near disaster. I got a 94% on the assignment. The only thing I did wrong was that I didn't change his diaper quick enough at one point. They only give us three minutes to get the baby to stop crying.

I named the baby simulator Brian, and I posted pictures of him over on my Twitter.

I finished choosing my classes for next year today. Now I just have to wait to get my schedule. It'll probably take a couple months.

I read chapter 3 of Titian by Mark Hudson. It was a good chapter. I'm still amazed that I'm actually interested in it when I could care less about art.

A Dreary Monday

I watched episode 39 of Naruto last night. It was awesome! *SPOILERS* I can't wait to see the fight between Kakashi and Orochimaru in the next episode!

I found out in world history today that I got a 93% on my last test, so that's good. All we did today was work on some worksheets. In art we just took notes. In child development we took a test on birth defects and worked on our scrapbook pages we're making. In Spanish, we went over our new vocab words.

In English, we went over vocab and the story we reading called The Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket. That has to be the most boring story I've read in a long time. I almost fell asleep while we were reading it today, and I don't usually sleep in class.

I take home the baby simulator home for child development tomorrow! Wish me luck! I hope he doesn't cry during the night! If I'm up all night, I'm going to be incredibly cranky on Wednesday.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to post a blog tomorrow or not. It depends on how much the baby simulator cries. I may be lucky to get my homework done.
