Today has been a long day. Remember my little thing about sleep yesterday? Well, I spent about half of today sleeping, and I'm still tired. I'm actually kind of thankful that I'll be back to my normal sleep schedule tomorrow.
I feel like I accomplished absolutely nothing today other than homework. I honestly haven't done much other than that. I did film a video that I'll hopefully have up in an hour or so. (The footage is converting at the moment.) I haven't really gotten to read or anything today, but I plan on taking The Fault in Our Stars to work with me tomorrow and maybe even school. Let's hope I don't start crying in front of people...
I was trying to think of something else to write, but then I got distracted and just left this sitting open. I've been on Tumblr all day. I hadn't had time to get on Tumblr for quite a while, and I hadn't even gotten on Saturday or Sunday. I actually think it's to blame for my lack of motivation to do anything else today. I just barely got my homework done early thanks to Tumblr.

The End of a Long Weekend
This has been a hectic weekend, and it's not even over yet! I filmed a video about my day yesterday that will be up in a few days, so I won't talk about that again. Today has been a lot less eventful, but I've spent a good portion of my day getting homework that I neglected doing in the car yesterday. (It gets dark way too early at this time of the year.)
Other than that I have to go to high school religious ed later to help my dad with that as a table leader. I'm excited because my dad's going to show a clip from Return of the King that deals with the lesson. My sister and her friend weren't happy about that at all, but that just makes it even more amusing to me. I have to get my homework done though, since I don't want to do it when I come home. I'm almost done, so it shouldn't take too much longer.

Essays and PowerPoints
We have to write an essay in English tomorrow on the "I Have A Dream" speech, and I'm a bit worried about it. I have no idea what exactly I'm going to write. I'm hoping it's one of those things where I start writing, and it just happens.
In current events we're all doing PowerPoints on different presidential candidates. It's supposed to be who you want to vote for, but I really have no idea who I'm voting for yet. I just chose Mitt Romney because no one else was doing him. Over half the class is doing Obama, and then me and maybe three or four other people are doing various Republican candidates. It's going to be hard telling everyone why they should vote for Mitt Romney when I really don't want to vote for him myself, but I'm filling pretty good about the actual PowerPoint.
After my weekend of no homework, I definitely have enough to do tonight to make up for it. I also have a headache like I usually get on Mondays, so tonight will most definitely be fun. (It's really not that bad. It's a lot, but it's all pretty easy stuff like notes. I wouldn't be complaining at all if it weren't for the headache.)

Another Cold
It's only been a three day weekend, but for some reason it feels like it's been a bit longer since I've been to school. When I woke up this morning, I felt better than yesterday, but I'm still a bit sick. I'm hoping I continue to get better. I already had one bad cold this winter, and I don't want another one.
I haven't really done much today other than the usual stuff I do when at home all day. I did homework, read some, and just other random stuff. The day actually went by pretty fast. I'm hoping the whole week will go by fast, especially if I'm sick all this week.

Church Dinner, Dan Radcliffe on SNL, Etc.
It has been a long day. I had trouble sleeping last night, and then I woke up today feeling a little sick. I don't know if I really am sick or it's just allergies. Whatever it is, my head feels congested, I can barely breath through my nose, and my throat feels kind of scratchy. It's not too bad though, and I hope it doesn't get worse.
I'm really happy tomorrow's a holiday, and there's no school. After getting no sleep last night, I really need another night to sleep in before going to school.
We had a dinner after church this morning/afternoon. It was kind of a welcome to our priest (who came a few months back) and new parishioners. I was probably there for about an hour, but I came home a bit earlier than most of the others because Ji was coming over to drop off some Friends DVDs and The Hunger Games that she had borrowed. (She didn't actually ever read The Hunger Games, which dissappoints me a bit.) We watched Daniel Radcliffe on Saturday Night Live (He was amazing, and I love the Harry Potter sketch!) and some Youtube videos before she left.
Other than that I didn't do much today. I, of course, did some homework, but that's about it. I actually got less homework done than I had been planning on because I didn't know that Ji was going to come over, and I didn't know about the dinner at church until this morning. (Well, I knew it was happening, but not that it was today.) Since I didn't get much done today, I'm also going to have to do more tomorrow than I planned on. It's not much though, so hopefuly it won't take long. I want to be able to enjoy the day off from school.

The End of 2011 and My First Hunger Games Fanfiction
Can you believe Sunday is the start of 2012? I can't. I filmed a video earlier today that will be up on my channel tomorrow. I talked in there about some of the awesome things that happened this year, and things I want to try and do in 2012. Like I said, that'll be up tomorrow if you want to watch it. I may do a similar blog post here tomorrow, but I'm not sure yet. I'll be at my grandma's for New Year's Eve tomorrow, so I'll probably blog about what we're doing there instead (which is why I filmed the video today).
I haven't done much today. I did manage to get a small part of the essay for AP U.S. history done, but then my mom called me down for dinner. I'll probably finish it Monday, since I couldn't think of what to write anyway. I think I'll be able to focus better on Monday.
As I mentioned earlier in a blog post, I finished writing the first draft of the story I was working on, and I put it away for a while before editing it. For the past week or so I've been writing Hunger Games fanfiction. I talked more about this in the video that'll be posted tomorrow because finishing the fanfic is one thing I mention as wanting to do in 2012. I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, since it's my first Hunger Games fanfiction.
It's going to be a series of one-shots that are in chronological order and have a similar theme. I'll talk more about it when I start posting it online. They definitely have a lighter tone than the actual Hunger Games books because I'm focusing on Katniss and Peeta's kids who have much happier lives. The story I just finished was also a bit dark. It wasn't incredibly depressing or anything, but I wanted to write something a lot lighter and more positive now. There is some darkness to it though, especially when the kids kind of think about their parents' pasts. Actually, I just discovered this but both the story I just finished and this Hunger Games fanfiction are heavily centered around growing up. Other than that though, they're completely different.
Anyway, I'm going to quite ranting about the fanfiction and go work on it some more!

Less Homework, More Writing Time
It's so strange being on Christmas break and not having homework I need to work on. I have one essay that I have to write for AP U.S. history. However, it's practice for the AP exam, so we're supposed to write it in forty minutes. I'm going to wait until after Christmas to do that. I also have some college stuff to do, but this isn't anywhere near the amount of things I had to do before break. I am so happy to get a break from all of that and relax for a little bit.
I got so much writing done last night and today. It was great. It had been months since I'd been able to sit down and get that much written without having to stop and do homework or something. I'm getting so excited about everything because I'm close to finishing the first draft too. I'm hoping I'll get it done by the end of the year since I have more time to write now, but if I get caught up in holiday and family stuff it probably won't happen. Still, I can hope.
Only three more days until Christmas!

Old Stuffed Animals
Usually days I don't have school seem to drag on forever, but today actually went by very quickly. I feel like I didn't get a chance to do anything today.
My sister has been cleaning her room all day. The two of us used to share that room, and because of that, tons of our old stuffed animals are stuffed in one of her closets. She got all of those bags down, and we went through some of them. I hadn't seen those stuffed animals in years! Most of them were hers as some of my old ones were moved into boxes into my room when we got out own rooms. Still, some of my old stuffed animals were in there with hers, and I ended up taking a few. They're now sitting in my room for absolutely no reason. Most of them are dirty, musty smelling, and squished looking, but I haven't seen these in years! I'll probably stuff them in my closet after a few days and forget about them, but it's still weird to see them after so long.
That's just about the only note-worthy thing today. Other than that I've done nothing but read (not as much as I would like) and do various things on the Internet. Now I'm off to do a bit of homework (Yep. I'm studying during Thanksgiving break.) and then finish a college application.
I think I'm helping fix Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow since my mom will be at work. We'll see how that actually works out, since it requires waking up early and getting my sister and me to cooperate. I'm excited for the Macy's parade and the dressing! (My family seriously has the best dressing recipe ever. That's the best thing about this time of year. It's the only thing that tastes good as leftovers.)
