Dear John Movie

For some reason I just completely forgot to blog the past few days. I haven't been in that great of a mood, so that's probably why.

My sister and I went to see Dear John today. I loved it! They really only changed about two major things from the book, but it was still an awesome movie. One of the changes I think I actually like better than the movie.

I thought the cast was awesome! Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried were amazing as John and Savannah! I also thought that the actors who played Tim and John's dad were really good. I don't think the movie could have had any better cast.

If you haven't seen it, you really should, but read the book first!

I also really want to go see valentine's Day and The Young Victoria. Who knows is I ever will.

I watched episode 40 of Naruto the other day. Amazing! The whole thing with the bugs was interesting, but a little creepy, and I loved everything with Kakashi and Orochimaru!

Baby Simulator

I had to take care of the baby simulator last night. I'm so glad that's over! It only woke me up once during the night, but it was enough to make me incredibly tired today. It also cried twice while I was in the shower, and once while I was getting dressed. That was a near disaster. I got a 94% on the assignment. The only thing I did wrong was that I didn't change his diaper quick enough at one point. They only give us three minutes to get the baby to stop crying.

I named the baby simulator Brian, and I posted pictures of him over on my Twitter.

I finished choosing my classes for next year today. Now I just have to wait to get my schedule. It'll probably take a couple months.

I read chapter 3 of Titian by Mark Hudson. It was a good chapter. I'm still amazed that I'm actually interested in it when I could care less about art.

A Dreary Monday

I watched episode 39 of Naruto last night. It was awesome! *SPOILERS* I can't wait to see the fight between Kakashi and Orochimaru in the next episode!

I found out in world history today that I got a 93% on my last test, so that's good. All we did today was work on some worksheets. In art we just took notes. In child development we took a test on birth defects and worked on our scrapbook pages we're making. In Spanish, we went over our new vocab words.

In English, we went over vocab and the story we reading called The Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket. That has to be the most boring story I've read in a long time. I almost fell asleep while we were reading it today, and I don't usually sleep in class.

I take home the baby simulator home for child development tomorrow! Wish me luck! I hope he doesn't cry during the night! If I'm up all night, I'm going to be incredibly cranky on Wednesday.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to post a blog tomorrow or not. It depends on how much the baby simulator cries. I may be lucky to get my homework done.

Just a Boring Weekend

I haven't really done much this weekend. I did read more of Titian by Mark Hudson and watched more of Naruto, so I'll talk about that.

I read the first two chapters of Titian. I really like it so far. I'm actually really surprised that I like it because I could care less about art and artists. It's really interesting though.

I watched episode 38 of Naruto. I know Ive said this every time so far, but it was awesome! The episodes just keep getting better and better! I completely understand why people say this is their favorite arc of the whole series. It is awesome! I'm planning on watching episode 39 as soon as I'm done with this post, so I'll talk about it in my next post.

I have to go to a Confirmation class at six tonight. I really don't want to go. I think they should have made the classes shorter, and scheduled them at a different time. In my opinion, Sunday evening wasn't a good choice. It should be after mass or something. The have religious ed for the grade school kids in between the two masses. They could have high school religious ed/Confirmation after the last mass or something. It be better if I had any friends in the class, but since my best friend quit, I just sit there bored the whole time. They're apparently putting us in groups again tonight. Last time they did that, I was put with my ex-best friend. It was really awkward.

This weekend felt shorter than normal. Of course, since we had three snow days last week, my days are all messed up.

A Two-Day Week

Today was our first day back at school after five days off. That might be why I feel like I'm about to pass out even though it's only 7:16 as I'm typing this. Not much really happened to day.

We were supposed to have a test in world history today, but the teacher pushed it back tomorrow. Extra time to study is always a good thing!

All we did in art was work on our shapes.

In child development, we learned about how smoking while pregnant can cause birth defects. We also watched a video about three babies. One was born to a mom who drank, one to a mom who smoked cigarettes, and one to a mom who did crack. It was sad. I was supposed to take the baby simulator home on Tuesday, but that obviously didn't happen because of the snow. I'm scheduled to take it home this Tuesday, so let's hope we don't have a snow day again.

I found out how I did on the Spanish test I took last week. I got a C! Okay, so maybe that's not really good, but it's better than my past two tests (an F and a D). If things keep going how they have been, I should get a B on the next test.

All we did in English was review our vocab words for our test tomorrow, and start reading a new story.

I haven't really done much since I came home except homework.

We only have to go to school tomorrow, and then it's the weekend (again)! Yay for two-day weeks!

How Much More Snow Can We Possibly Get!?

Guess what. School for tomorrow has already been canceled! Three snow days in a row. I'm not sure to be happy about having no school, or to be upset that we have to make it up.

I do know that I'm upset because having so many snow days means that I have to take home the baby simulator for child development on Monday. That means that I have to take it on the bus. Remember my little rant in my last post about hte immature middle-schoolers on my bus? Yeah, this is going to suck. (Unless, of course, we miss school again on Thursday, and I take it home on Tuesday. That means another day to make up though.)

I woke up last night with really, really bad pains in my chest. It was horrible. My mom doesn't know what's wrong. She thinks I'm just sick. They kept coming back all day, but none of them were as bad as they had been last night. Then, while we were eating dinner, they came back just as bad as they had been last night. My mom had me take ibuprofen, and they went away. It scares me just a little though. I don't know why I'm having the pain. My mom said that if it still hurts on Thursday, she'll take me to the doctor.

I started reading Titian: The Last Days by Mark Hudson last night. I've only read the prologue so far, but it's a lot better than I thought it would be. I won the book from goodreads.com. It's about the famous artist (named Titian obviously) right before his death. I'm not really into art (although I'm taking an art class in school), but the prologue was really interesting. Hopefully the rest of the book is just as good.

I also watched episode 37 of Naruto. It was awesome as usual. I can't wait for the third exam!

What do you think of the new banner? I made it on this website earlier, but I'm not sure how I feel about it. I want a banner, but a better made one. The problem is that I suck at graphics.

I upload another A:TNG one-shot! That has to be a record for how quickly I've gotten something up before. It's not impressive if you take into account how short it is but still. The one-shot focuses on Sokka and his kids Ichiko and Ikuo. Ichiko and Ikuo get in a little fight. You can read all of my fanfiction over at fanfiction.net/~hmweasley.

Tomorrow's Ash Wednesday! Since I'm Catholic, I'm supposed to either give something up or do a good dead throughout Lent. I think I'm giving up gum this year. I've given up soft drinks the past two years, and I have up gum almost every year before that. Tomorrow being Ash Wednesday also means I get to go get ashes on my forhead. Plus, I'm not allowed to eat meat tomorrow or any Friday in Lent. That doesn't really bother me that much though. I'm not looking forward to going over a month without gum though. The headaches I'd have if I gave up soft drinks would definitely be worse though.

Wow, I had a whole lot to talk about for basically doing nothing the whole entire day! I'm thinking of even more things to say right now. I think this is long enough though!

More Snow!?

We had yet another snow day today, and school for tomorrow has already been canceled too! At this rate, we'll be going to school for an extra month!

I haven't done much today. I did watch episode 36 of Naruto. It was a good episode. *SPOILERS* I knew Kabuto was working for Orochimaru so that was no surprise. I didn't know when it was going to be revealed in the show though, or how it would happen. I was kind of scared he'd just randomly attack them or something. I'm glad he didn't. (Of course, he still could seeing as they don't know actually know yet, but still...)

That was pretty much all I did today except read fanfiction and do other stuff online. Twitter was having problems earlier, and as soon as it started working again, my laptop started messing up. It wouldn't load stuff for some reason, and then it just randomly disconnected me from the internet. When I restarted it, it was fine though. I'm not sure what was wrong with it.

I was supposed to bring the baby simulator home for child development tomorrow, but with the two snow days, it doesn't look like I'll take it home until Thursday. If we have another snow day, I'm going to have to take it home next week which wouldn't be good because I'd have to ride the bus with it. Another girl took hers home on the bus, and some of the middle-schoolers were messing with it. One even tried to punch it. Those things cost $500 to replace. I don't want to get in trouble for it because of the idiotic middle-schoolers on my bus.

I'm going to rant a little now because I really want to get this out. I swear God decided to have every single one of the most annoying middle-schoolers in the school district live in places so that they would all ride the same bus. Their principal has even gotten on the bus to talk to them before when we stopped at the middle school to pick them up multiple times. They all have assigned seats now because they fight with each other and even make fun of some of the high schoolers (including me). I'm not sure how they treat the elementry kids (I'm not on the bus when they are), but it's probably even worse. They have to be the worst behaved kids ever. They act like three year olds.

Sorry for the rant. That's been bothering me for a while now. It makes me wish I could drive to school, and I absolutely hate driving.

Beaver Creeks Aren't Meant For the Snow

I didn't blog yesterday because I was watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics, and to be completely honest, I don't really want to be right now because I'd rather be reading this awesome fanfiction I'm in the middle of. I told myslef at the beginning of the year that I would update regularly though, so here's a short post.

I took that Spanish test I was talking about Friday. Not sure how I did, but I don't think it's better than a C. Spanish II is definitely the hardest class I've ever taken!

In child development, I signed up to take home the baby simulator on Tuesday. I'm going to be incredibly cranky from lack of sleep. I'm taking home a boy, and I have to name him. I already think I know what his name will be. I'm really glad that I only have to have him one night.

The opening ceremonies for the Olympics were awesome! It's really sad that the athlete from Georgia died before the games even began though. It was really sweet that Georgia's athletes got a standing ovation when they walked in. It was freaky how they showed his death on TV though.

I watched episode 35 of Naruto earlier today. It was awesome, just like every other episode has been lately. *SPOILERS* Those ninja at the very end reminded me of zombies. They were like zombie ninjas. That could make for a really interesting story actually...

I also finished A Not-So-Silent Night by Verlyn D. Verbrugge today too. It was an incredibly interesting book, and I'd really recommend it to anyone who's Christian. It made me think about Christmas in a completely different way.

Oh yeah! I almost forgot to mention that my parents bought a new car today! It's really awesome! I have no clue what kind it is (I know nothing about cars), but it's more a van then a car. I do know that it's blue. I got a little too excited when they came home with it. I slipped my Beaver Creeks on, and ran outside not thinking about how there was still some snow on the ground in places. For anyone who was unaware before, let me warn you, Beaver Creeks are not meant to be worn in the snow especially when you're excited and running. I slipped and fell. It's lucky the snow was there really because I slip and fell on rocks and concrete. Luckily, all that happened was I was wet and cold afterwards. My arm and side were a little sore afterwards too, but I'm prefectly fine now.

I Love Two-Hour Delays

We've had two-hour delays the past two days! It's been amazing being able to sleep in a little longer than normal. Sadly, we have to go to school at the normal time tomorrow. At least tomorrow's Friday!

Not much has happened the past two days. My best friend Summer and her brother came over each morning and went to school with us because of the two-hour delays.

On Wednesday, we watched a video about the book The Jungle that was written in the early 1900's. Today we just did worksheets.

In art the past two days, we've just been working on our drawings. We're drawing the four basic forms. I'm finished drawing each of them with pencil, and tomorrow I'll start drawing them with ink. By ink, I don't mean pens. We have to use these old fashioned calligraphy pens (I'm not sure what they're actually called). I hope they're not hard to use. The ink won't come out if you get it on anything, so I really hope I don't get it on me. I already have spots on my jacket from when I got paint on it the first half of the year.

We've been learning about birth defects the past two days in child development. We've also been working on a scrapbook page that we have to make of ourselves when we were babies.

Spanish II is probably the hardest class I've ever taken! We just started learning about the predicate form of verbs! We only went over it for the first time about two days ago, and the test is tomorrow! That's a whole lot of stuff to memorize! I was studying like crazy earlier, and I think I understand it pretty well. I just hope I don't completely forget everything before the test tomorrow. I really need to get a good grade on this test after how bad I did on my first two tests in the class.

We took a vocab test in English yesterday, and I did pretty well. We've also started learning about the different types of pronouns. We learned about indefinite pronouns today. We've also been getting ready to start reading another story.

That's been basically all I've done the past two days. I'm going to read another chapter of A Not-So-Silent Night by Verlyn D Verbugge tonight, so I'll talk about it in my next post.

I Finally Posted a One-Shot!

We had another snow day today! At this rate, we're barely going to have a summer break. It's supposed to snow tonight and tomorrow morning, so we may not have school tomorrow either. They already put us on a two-hour delay. I'm so happy that I get to sleep in an extra two hours. Not sure how I'd feel about another snow day. I'd be happy not having snow, but I do not want to make up any more snow days.

I didn't really do anything. I painted my nails which I hadn't done in forever (over a year I think). I suck at painting nails, so they look really horrible. I mean really, really horrible. I probably got more nail polish on my hands then I did my nails, and I'm not exaggerating much.

You know those Avatar one-shots I keep mentioning but hadn't posted yet? The first one's finally up! You can read it here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5732012/1/A_TNG_OneShots_and_Drabbles

It took me forever to get it up. First, my laptop and flash drive both refused to save it in the right format. Then, I lost it, had to re-type it, and had trouble saving it yet again. Finally, I get it saved in the right format, and fanfiction.net messes up the formatting. So, I had to delete it from fanfiction.net and upload it yet again. Thankfully, I finally got it up. It's pretty stupid because, if you read it, it's incredibly short. That's a good thing really considering I had to re-type it. I can't believe that I went through all that trouble for something so short. I guess it shows how important writing is to me. Plus, there are probably a lot of people who are disappointed that I haven't updated in a while, so this is better than nothing.

I also watched episode 34 of Naruto earlier. It was a really good episode. It was cool learning a little about Gaara. Even though I technically know more about him then I should at this point, I still learned some stuff I didn't know in this episode. Does that make sense?

I wish I could see the future, and knew if we'd have school or not tomorrow.

The Last Airbender Commercial

I'm currently watching the Super Bowl. I don't like football, but I like watching the commercials. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter commercial was good, but The Last Airbender commercial was so freaking awesome! I absolutely loved it! It gave me more hope that the movie will be good.

I watched episode 33 of Naruto the other day. It was amazing! Probably would have been even better if I didn't already know what's going on with Sasuke. It was still awesome though!

I also read chapter 9 of A Not-So-Silent Night by Verlyn D. Verbugge. It was pretty interesting. I only have two more chapters and a conclusion, and I'll be finished with the book.

I can't believe I have to go to school tomorrow. It doesn't feel like a Sunday for some reason.

Learning a New Language is Hard!

The past few days I have had so much homework! It feels like all my teachers got together and decided they were all going to give a bunch of homework on the same days. Today, I had about half of what I had the two days before, but it still took me longer than usual. Thank God tomorrow is Friday!

We took a test in world history today. I think I did pretty well.

I have to finish my drawing in art tomorrow because it's the last day of the grading period, so if it's not done then I get a zero. I think I'll be able to finish it though.

In child development, the teacher was preparing us to take home the baby simulators. She put one of them on demonstration mode, and each one of us had to do something with it. I had to rock it/her. It made me feel a little better about the assignment. I'm not looking forward to having to rush in the shower or being woken up in the middle of the night. I'm going to be incredibly cranky the next day, and I really hope I'm able to get my homework done. Thank God it's only for one night.

We took a quiz in Spanish. I think I did good on it which is really good considering how I've done on the two tests we've taken so far (an F and a D). Spanish II is so hard! If English is the hardest language to learn, I feel so sorry for anyone who learns it because Spanish is incredibly hard to learn (for me at least).

We read a part of I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou in English, so today we had a long discussion about different types of prejudices. That was about all we did besides go over vocab, and discuss our homework about the story.

I'm going to read a chapter of A Not-So-Silent Night by Verlyn D. Verbugge tonight, so I'll talk about that in my next blog.

Homework Overload

I should absolutely not be writing this. I have so much homework left to do. Oh well, I need a break anyway. Plus I didn't write a blog yesterday. I'll try to make this quick.

You know those Avatar one-shots I keep talking about but have yet to post on fanfiction.net? I wrote yet another one today. It's the fourth one and I haven't even posted the first yet! Not to mention the I also really need to be working on Avatar: The Next Generation. Those one-shots will be up soon!

One of my most absolute favorite Twilight fanfictions ever ended yesterday. You should all check it out. It's called She Hates Me by HM_Grayson over on fanfiction.net. It's in Nessie's point of view, and the story follows her as she grows up. It isn't really a romance story, and there aren't really any huge couples in it. You can find some Jacob/Nessie, Seth/Nessie, and Jacob/Leah though. Those last two aren't couples I usually support (although I've certainly read fanfiction for them before), but it was so well written now that I love those couples (just in that one story though)! You should definitely go check it out if you're a Twilight fan!

There was more I wanted to talk about, but I have so much homework that I'm going to end it there.
